Refund Policy

Effective Date: 24 February 2026
Please read this Refund Policy carefully before subscribing to any paid plan on Causal Blog.

1. Nature of Our Services

Causal Blog provides digital content and AI-powered analysis services. This includes access to premium blog content, the AI content analysis feature, and platform tools. Due to the digital and immediately accessible nature of these services, our refund policy reflects the position described below.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under applicable mandatory consumer protection law, including the Indian Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the EU Consumer Rights Directive, or the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where such laws grant you rights that cannot be waived, those rights apply regardless of the terms of this policy.

2. General No Refund Policy

All subscription payments made to Causal Blog are generally non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or as described in Sections 4, 5, and 6 of this policy.

This policy exists because:

  • Digital content and AI access are provided immediately upon payment
  • There is no physical product to return
  • Access to the Platform's features begins instantly after successful payment
  • The costs associated with providing AI services are incurred at the time of access

3. EU & UK Users — Right of Withdrawal

Under EU and UK consumer law, you ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal from digital service contracts. However, by completing your purchase and accessing the Platform's premium features, you expressly request immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that you thereby waive your 14-day right of withdrawal, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you do not wish to waive this right, do not access any premium features after payment and contact us at support@causalblogs.com within 14 days of purchase to request a withdrawal refund before accessing any paid features.

4. Subscription Cancellation

While we do not offer refunds for used subscription periods, you retain full control over your subscription:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
  • Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods after cancellation
  • Your access to premium features will continue until the end of the paid period
  • Cancellation does not delete your account — your account and free-tier access remain intact

5. Exceptions — When Refunds Apply

We will consider and process refund requests in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate payment: If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a technical error
  • Unauthorised transaction: If you did not authorise the payment and report it to us within 7 days of the charge
  • Extended platform outage: If the Platform experiences a verified outage lasting more than 72 consecutive hours during a paid billing period, you may be eligible for a pro-rata credit or partial refund for the affected period
  • Feature unavailability: If a core feature explicitly included in your subscription tier is unavailable for an extended period due to a cause within our control, we will assess eligibility for a pro-rata credit at our reasonable discretion
  • Service discontinuation: If Causal Blog discontinues a paid subscription tier entirely, active subscribers will receive a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of their current billing period

To raise an exception request, please contact us within 7 days of the triggering event at support@causalblogs.com with your registered email address, payment reference number, and a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days of approval, back to your original payment method.

6. Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days advance notice to your registered email address. Price changes will only take effect at your next renewal date — your current billing cycle will always be honoured at the price you paid. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before your renewal date at no additional charge.

7. Free Trial

If Causal Blog offers a free trial period in the future, no payment will be collected during the trial. You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected subscription plan will activate and the standard No Refund Policy will apply. We will send a reminder email before any trial period ends.

8. Third-Party Purchases

Causal Blog may link to third-party products and courses via affiliate or partner links. Any purchases made through these links are transactions solely between you and the respective third party (such as Amazon, Coursera, Udemy, or others). Causal Blog is not a party to these transactions and has no control over the refund policies of these third parties. Please refer to the respective platform's refund policy for such purchases.

9. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We are committed to resolving genuine billing issues promptly and fairly. If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, contact us at support@causalblogs.com and we will work to resolve the issue directly.

Raising a chargeback without first contacting us may result in temporary suspension of your account while the dispute is under investigation. This does not affect any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

10. Contact for Billing Issues

For any billing questions, duplicate payment reports, or unauthorised transaction claims, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your registered email address
  • The transaction date and amount
  • Your payment reference number
  • A brief description of the issue
